Cheers gorkyb & Fixkick! You take so much information listed on this site...I apologize for being lazy!

Besides, does this site benefit past placing orders with suzukicarparts.com? If and so, I tin gild from them.

Reason why I enquire, parts.com has information technology listed for $40.01

Parts.com - Speedometer Cable

Thanks again!

no benefits, in fact , use the trademotion link on my page to encounter a web friendly Suzuki seller near you. (less aircraft costs or/ but lower cost period)
https://www.google.com/webhp#q=trademoti...+car+parts

no need to repent some if these pages are 7 years sometime. and forgotten long ago for content, and depth.... its like a honeypot. search and get lucky or ask. no big deal how y'all luck out but exercise ask. Some content is from many friends,

that is a nice link, sick add together it. the prices are better.

(Tape Scratch Sound) Disregard the speedometer link to parts.com...apparently they no longer fulfill Suzuki part orders. This might also explain the low price!

Thank you for the great site info & TradeMotion links...each year it gets harder and harder to find parts! I used to hear "you bought the terminal available part" from my GM/ACDelco parts contact. Ha-Ha!

dont you simply love, spider web sites like that,?

yes, many parts are discontinued and many web sites show information technology in stock when in fact is not , or the opposite, show no parts at all only are in the warehouse.

merely do ask, and we tin get the p/n so yous can search the spider web sites. some don't list it but if yous practise the bodily p/northward search bam, there information technology is..... amazing.
suzuki does not accept accurate information on parts inventory, online at all. (it's like a half way attempt)
i more reason to affiliate 11.
imo.

btw2 they never ever sold the fuel filter clench, the oddest thing always...
and yes, the door seals are zip now. (window wipe seals in outside of door)
and suzuki had (has) an internal network to cheque other dealer stock (non all dealers have it) only can be good to find NOS parts)

WOW! It'south been over a yr since I asked the question about the speedometer. I can say I bought it but I never installed it thanks to fixkick (see below).

I had originally bought the cable to replace mine that began squealing during the winter of 2013-14. Honestly, I wasn't looking forward to snaking that cable through the firewall angle it behind the aftermarket caput unit of measurement and finally making its fashion to the cluster. I would plan on doing the job but knowingly schedule something else in its identify.

Finally, after tackling another maintenance upshot and having it up on stands, I decided to endeavor lubricating the cable outset instead of replacing it -- thanks to a mail by fixkick on another forum. I unscrewed the knurled nut and removed the cable from the transfer case. The cable pulled out of the sheath with relative ease. It was a fiddling fleck rusty and extremely dry. Didn't seem to be damaged so I cleaned it and used super lube starting at around 8-12 inches below the speedometer cablevision end. The only trouble I had was pushing the cable back up the sheath. It would get stuck at the the final two inches. After trying unsuccessfully for 20 minutes, I figured I would demand to remove the cluster but it was actually a lot easier than that. All I needed to exercise was remove the cluster screws and ease the sharp bend of the speedo cablevision by slightly lifting the cluster upwards tilting it towards the front of the car. The remaining two inches of cablevision slid back up with a terminal slight counter-clockwise turn and the transfer instance side of the cable was seated against the ferrule.

Merely wanted to say cheers to fixkick and offer my experience to someone else looking to exercise this job. My Tracker is a 1990 so I'k not certain if all years can be pulled from beneath like mine or not? If so, it's worth trying earlier replacing the entire cable when dealing with the cold weather squeal.

that is correct the early automobile has less piece of work,,, to go to the back off cluster
later the laws for side impact beams , make this more than hard.
thank you and then much for sharing, other will want to do that, and is true getting the cablevision back and that square terminate dogged in can be hard, pushing from beneath.
just worth a attempt. push button and spin, and it might simply go in, .
yeah, all cables in these cars all pull out.
top to bottom but non bottom to top.
this method works on vast number of car. many have just a flattened finish square drive, taking up zero infinite , exterior radius of cable.

thanks very much !
